Enroute to China – Tuesday, July 24, 2012

We actually made it out the door!  :) We are grateful for our dear friend, Jean, who drove us to the airport.  Shirley had a lot of frequent flyer miles from her years of working in international development and  consulting.  We had tried to use them for our honeymoon to Tahiti and also when we adopted Shekina 7 years ago but we were unable to coordinate flights.  We were thrilled, after days of calling and hours upon hours on the phone, to secure seats for the four of us!  Yahoo! :)  
We had a special bonus as the overseas segments are in business class and the three of us were pampered on our Vancouver – Tokyo flight  and able to have seats that turned into beds complete with great meals, service and goodies!  What a special treat and wonderful way to start our trip!
